Holt
Record any conversation. Find what was said, by meaning.

Holt is a recorder with a memory. Record a meeting, a call or a thought on the phone you already own, and Holt turns it into a searchable spoken history. Ask it a question the way you would ask a person, and it returns the moment it was said plus what happened around it. Transcription runs on your own phone by default, so the audio never leaves it. No minute meters, no subscription, and no pendant to buy.

Free to start — ten recordings, no card. Apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon.
Features
- Search your spoken history by meaning — Ask a question in your own words. Holt returns the moment it was said, the recordings around it in time, and what was decided.
- Transcription on your own phone — On-device speech recognition is the default. The audio stays on the phone and only the transcript reaches your account, never a third-party AI service.
- Works with any recorder — Bring files from a dictaphone, a lapel mic or a competitor’s pendant. A supplied transcript is indexed as-is, so years of old recordings become searchable in one pass.
- Import call recordings — Open a recording made by your phone’s own call recorder in Holt and it is transcribed, summarised and indexed like everything else.
- Summaries that never judge a person — Decisions, commitments and open questions, with a guard that refuses anything about how someone seemed or behaved.
- Delete means delete — Set a retention period, pin what matters, and export everything as Markdown or JSON whenever you like.
- One payment, no subscription — Ten free recordings, then a single lifetime purchase. No minute meters, ever.
Questions about Holt
- Is Holt available on the App Store and Google Play?
- The mobile apps are in review and arriving shortly. You do not have to wait: Holt runs in your browser today at holt.aimdev.site, and everything you record there stays in the same account the apps will use.
- Does my audio get sent to an AI company?
- No. On the phone, speech recognition runs on the device itself and the audio never leaves it — only the transcript reaches your account. Nothing is sent to OpenAI, Google or Anthropic unless you deliberately connect your own key.
- Can Holt record my phone calls?
- No app is allowed to capture call audio on iPhone or Android. Holt imports instead: open a recording made by your phone's own call recorder in Holt, and it is transcribed, summarised and searchable like any other session.
- What does Holt cost?
- Ten recordings are free. After that, one lifetime purchase unlocks unlimited recording — there is no subscription and no per-minute charge. A recorder pendant plus its yearly plan costs several times more in the first year alone.
- Can I use recordings from another device?
- Yes. Holt takes audio files from any recorder, and when a file already comes with a transcript, Holt indexes that text directly and skips speech-to-text entirely. A long backlog becomes searchable in a single pass.
